While many healthcare companies provide mostly “sick care” – performing surgeries, treating illnesses, and healing wounds – a new health brand in New Braunfels is focusing just as much on wellness as it does on illness. It’s all part of the company’s goal to improve the health and wellbeing of Comal, Guadalupe, and Hays Counties by empowering residents to prevent health problems before they begin.

“Resolute Health is taking a completely unique approach to healthcare,” said CEO Tess Coody-Anders at the groundbreaking for Resolute Health’s wellness campus on August 3rd, 2011. “We believe that being proactive and holistic about health – and that includes everything from a more thoughtful approach to growing food to healthy activity and fitness options to a calm, restorative environment – will ultimately prevent and minimize illness.”

The event marked the beginning of the 18-24 month construction process that will erect a full-service health and wellness facility in New Braunfels. Located just off of Interstate Highway 35 at the corner of FM 306 and FM 1101, the 84-acre lot reserved for Resolute Health’s wellness campus provides ample room for the company’s big plans. These include a proposed state-of-the-art hospital, medical office building, a fitness center/spa, retail wellness shops, and healthy restaurants. Extensive walking trails, meditation gardens, and community gathering spaces will surround the campus. When completed, the wellness campus will serve as the flagship hub for all of Resolute Health’s operations.

True to its penchant for being proactive, the company has already opened its diabetes-focused Center for Wellbeing and launched the Sow Healthy intergenerational garden program.
